Adult Child Rental Contract

This contract defines and establishes a list of requirements for {Resident’s Name}, hereafter known as Resident. This contract is a promise between Resident and {Parents’ Names}, hereafter known as Parents. Resident promises to obey the rules outlined below, to pay all fees for lateness or violations, and to find a new residence within {number} days if the violations continue.

This contract begins on {Date} and extends to {Date}, or until Resident {goes to school, acquires a new place of residence, ships off to the military, etc.}

1. Rent:

Rent will be waived provided that Resident performs the following daily chores:

·         Chore

·         Chore

And the following weekly and monthly chores:

·         Chore

·         Chore

·         Chore

·         Chore

If these chores are not performed in a timely fashion, Resident will pay a rent of ${amount} at the beginning of each month.

2. House Rules

Resident will obey the house rules, which are subject to change at any time by Parents. While Resident may choose {his/her} own hours, {he/she} will be quiet and make sure all guests are gone by {hour}.

3. Work/School

Resident will work at least {number} hours a week. If not, Resident will take on the additional chores of {chores} in order to contribute to the household.

If Resident is working or attending school, {he/she} will drive {him/her}self or find a ride. Resident will also pay for gas.

4. Peace Keeping

While Resident may have differing opinions on decoration, decorum, language, diet, parties, drinking, religion or address, {he/she} will respect Parents’ household and keep interactions civil.
